5 February 2023. I had fun creating a twisty scene in 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙊𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠. It begins during a smoko break in the presence of the shearing team, when Sylvia (cold and spiteful) purposely intends to embarrass Maggie (protagonist). With her brother, Jack, absent and knowing full well it was a lie, Sylvia accuses Maggie of sleeping with Jack, just for the pleasure of watching Maggie squirm… this is where the author intervenes… Sylvia’s joy is unexpectedly short-lived when the shearing team come to Maggie’s rescue and put Sylvia firmly in her place who stomps off and sulks like a child. No one likes a bully.  But in Sylvia’s defence, she was a very interesting character to work with, I just had to peel away at the layers to discover a good heart.
