29 May 2023. Throughout š™š™š™Ŗš™§š™Øš™™š™–š™®ā€™š™Ø š˜¾š™š™žš™”š™™, Maggie and her family endure the Second World War only to realise that war comes in many guises. Soon after peacetime is declared, Maggie’s life changed forever causing her mother’s blatant cruelty and rejection to rise to the surface.

My heart broke for Maggie for what she experienced at such a young age, particularly when the person who should love you unconditionally, turned for no reason or explanation.

That is powerfully raw and leads to a lifetime of not knowing why, and sadly of which I can relate. It’s torture.
