20 July 2023. I know it’s bad, but I cannot remember the first book that made me cry. In recent years, Jessica, by Bryce Courtenay, has stayed in my heart.  Such a powerful, believable and strong character, I was with her every step of her incredible and hard journey.  It was the way and quickness of her death that caused me to blub. I truly loved the book but oh, those damn snakes.
